The map is in the Sustrans series showing the National Cycle Network and local routes in this area. It covers the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, part of the Way of the Roses route, Trans Pennine Trail East and 5 individual day rides.

This pocket-sized colour map shows clearly mapped on-road and traffic-free paths, easy to read contours, and detailed inset maps for the major towns and cities as well as recommended linking routes connecting the NCN with quiet roads.

Town cycle maps include York, Bridlington, Hull and Beverley.

The map also features 5 day rides with directions and a description of the area, highlighting key cycle routes, local history and places of interest.

The Yorkshire Wolds form a crescent of rolling hills stretching from the Humber estuary to the dramatic Bempton and Flamborough Head cliffs.

Quiet country lanes criss-cross the area and lead to wide views, wildlife, historic places and pretty villages – the inspiration for some of artist David Hockney’s most recent work.

Major routes covered on this map:

  • This is the eastern end of the Way of the Roses cycle route from the Yorkshire coast via the Yorkshire Dales to the Lancashire coast
  • National Route 1 between Barton-upon-Humber and Hunmanby via Hull, Beverley & Bridlington.
  • National Route 65 between York and Hornsea via Selby and Hull. Much of this route is the Trans Pennine Trail.
  •  National Route 166 between Kirkham and Hunmanby.
  • The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route. A signed circular route around the Yorkshire Wolds which follows various different National Cycle Network routes.
